Laura Sjoberg

Laura Sjoberg is Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford and Official Fellow at Exeter College. Her research pioneers feminist and queer approaches to security studies, examining gender in political violence, wartime sexual violence, terrorism, and international security institutions. She co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Gender and Security and authored Women as Wartime Rapists.

She teaches international law, gender/conflict, and IR theory. Current projects include queer conflict methodologies and critiquing counterterrorism practices. She serves as co-editor of the Journal of Feminist International Relations.
