Laura Odasso

Laura Odasso is a Post Doctoral Researcher in Sociology at Collège de France, where she holds a position at the Chaire Migrations et Sociétés. She is also a Collaborative Institute on Migrations (ICM) Fellow in Paris, a research associate at the Laboratoire Méditerranéen de Sociologie (Aix-Marseille University), and at the Group for Research on Ethnic Relations, Migrations and Equality (Université libre de Bruxelles). Her career spans institutions in France and Belgium.

Her research focuses on the intersectional dynamics of family migration, sociology of law, and public policy. She specializes in binational/mixed couples and their children, migration policy reception, and the role of legal brokers in Europe. Her work employs comparative and qualitative methodologies.

Laura has authored three notable publications: Mixités conjugales (PUR, 2016), Border Lampedusa (Palgrave, 2018), and Faire et défaire les liens familiaux (PUR, 2020). She has also written numerous articles and book chapters in English, French, and Italian.
