Laura Mongiovi is a Professor of Art at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She holds an MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BFA from Florida State University. Her work explores ideologies shaping societal structures through textile-based installations, examining themes of history, environment, and human desire. Mongiovi actively collaborates with local communities and historical institutions, including the St. Augustine Historical Research Library and the Florida School for Deaf and Blind. She serves on the St. Johns Cultural Council Grant Review Panel and has exhibited nationally in venues like the Woman Made Gallery (Chicago) and the University of North Florida Art Gallery (Jacksonville).

Research Interests: Her practice combines material exploration with cultural history, using textiles and installations to map intersections between human activity and natural landscapes.
