Laura M. Baylor serves as Assistant Professor and Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program within DeSales University's College of Healthcare Professions. A board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2001 and registered nurse since 1989, she maintains active clinical practice at Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley while teaching MSN/BSN-DNP programs.
Her educational trajectory includes:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1999) - Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales

Dr. Baylor's professional focus centers on primary care nursing education and clinical diagnostic reasoning, informed by 20+ years of diversified practice spanning college health, urology, emergency medicine, and home-based care for the homebound. Her teaching portfolio includes Procedures for Primary Care and Family Nurse Practitioner specialty courses, emphasizing real-world clinical application.
As a founding member of the National Association of Family Nurse Practitioners, she co-chairs its mentorship committee while serving on the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners board as Lehigh Valley representative. Her academic mentorship extends through clinical preceptorship at DeSales University since 2006, where she became Program Director in 2017 after extensive adjunct faculty experience.
