Laura Letinsky is a Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago, where she has taught since 1994. Her work specializes in photography and ceramics, rooted in contemporary visual art practices.

Letinsky’s research explores the intersection of still life, visual culture, and artistic representation. Her exhibitions span global institutions, interrogating themes of temporality, form, and cultural symbolism.
Her recent publications include To Want For Nothing (2019) and Time’s Assignation (2017), reflecting trends in experimental photography, conceptual visual art, and interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary art.
