Laura K. Hansen is Associate Professor and Clinical Director of the Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic at the University of Alabama. Her research examines mental health literacy regarding autism spectrum disorder and executive functioning interventions across developmental stages.
Clinical practice specializes in neurodevelopmental assessment for ASD, ADHD, learning disorders, and related conditions. She develops transdiagnostic interventions targeting organization, attention, and learning skills through the GOALS treatment framework.
Research integrates clinical psychology, special education, and implementation science. Current projects investigate teacher training models for behavior management and developmental trajectories of social cognition in neurodiverse populations.
