Laura Huisinga

Laura Huisinga is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art, Design, and Art History at California State University - Fresno's College of Arts and Humanities. She specializes in UX/UI design, immersive design for extended reality (AR/VR), and designing for dyslexic users.

• BFA in Graphic Design and Photography, University of Northern Iowa (2010)

Her research focuses on applying AR/VR technologies to education, including hybrid learning environments and interactive design pedagogy. She serves as UX Director of the Center for the Optimisation of Poultry (COOP) and co-PI for the Visualization Lab at Fresno State.

Dr. Huisinga teaches courses in UX/UI design, motion graphics, and immersive design. She has published on topics including social VR exhibitions and augmented flashcards for design education.
