Dr Laura Houldcroft is a part-time Lecturer in Psychology at Loughborough University, affiliated with the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine. She teaches undergraduate Psychology modules and works on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Education:
- BSc in Psychology and Philosophy from Keele University (2006)
- MRes in Psychology from Loughborough University
- PhD in Psychology from Loughborough University (2014), focusing on peer and parental influences on preadolescent eating behaviors
Research Interests: Laura specializes in understanding how peers and parents shape dietary habits in preadolescents, with expertise in Child Psychology, Behavioral Psychology, and Health Psychology. Her work bridges developmental psychology and health behavior studies.
Current Role: After earning her PhD, Laura returned to Loughborough University in 2017 as a Teaching Fellow, contributing to the Department of Psychology’s academic programs.
