Laura Giuliano is a Professor of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on labor economics, education policy, and racial discrimination in labor markets. She has conducted influential studies on minimum wage policies, gifted education access, peer effects among youth, and workplace discrimination. Her work often intersects with policy analysis, emphasizing real-world impacts on marginalized groups.
Giuliano's research has been supported by major grants including a $5M award from the National Center for Research on Gifted Education (2020-2025) and a Russell Sage Foundation grant (2020-2022).
