Laura Garcia Blanco

Laura Garcia Blanco serves as a Lecturer for Fundamentals of Design (Lehrbeauftragte für Grundlagen des Entwerfens) at Hochschule Düsseldorf's Peter Behrens School of Arts within the Department of Architecture & Design since 2016. Her academic position is part of the university's Faculty of Architecture and Design located at Münsterstr. 156 in Düsseldorf.

Her educational background includes Architecture studies at ETSAM Madrid (1991-1997), an Erasmus exchange program at École d'Architecture Paris Val-de-Marne (1998-1999), and completion of her diploma thesis on the 'Spanisch Portugiesisch Stiftung Badajoz' project at ETSAM Madrid (1999-2001).

Her research and professional interests focus on architectural design fundamentals, competition leadership, and practical architectural implementation across various scales. Her career demonstrates strong integration between academic teaching and professional practice in architecture.

• Over 20 competition awards from 2008-2018 across Germany including projects in Düsseldorf, Aachen, Cologne, and Bonn

Her professional practice has included significant roles at MOLESTINA Architekten (since 2017), Peter Kulka Architektur (2014-2017), and various other architectural firms across Spain and Germany. She has led projects ranging from vacation apartment complexes in Spain to major urban development competitions in Germany.
