Prof. Dr. jur. Peter C. Fischer, M.C.J. (NYU) serves as Professor of Business Law at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, Faculty of Business Studies. His teaching focuses on Labor Law, Civil Law, and Commercial and Business Law. Since 2016, he has chaired the Examination Board of the Department of Economics and has been a member of the Faculty Council since 2014, demonstrating significant institutional leadership.
Prof. Fischer earned his legal education at the University of Freiburg and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, completing both State Examinations in Bavaria. He earned his doctorate on 'Policy Clauses in the Constitutions of the new German States' and further advanced his qualifications with a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence from NYU School of Law, where he also passed the New York Bar Exam.
His research expertise spans Business Law with particular depth in Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, and International Business Law. His scholarly work consistently bridges theoretical legal frameworks with practical business applications, examining topics such as due diligence procedures, corporate restructuring, and the evolving landscape of corporate governance.
