Laura Eidt

Dr. Laura Eidt is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Modern Languages and Director of the Humanities Program at the University of Dallas. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on foreign language pedagogy, classical education, and children’s literature. She directs UD’s K-5 Latin curriculum Latin Through Stories, emphasizing immersive language teaching methods. Eidt has authored works on ekphrasis and German/Spanish avant-garde poetry. She has presented widely at classical education conferences and podcasts, advocating for narrative-based teaching and classical curriculum development.
