Dr. Jacob-Ivan Eidt is an Associate Professor of German and Comparative Literary Traditions at the University of Dallas, serving as Director of the German Program and Comparative Literary Traditions since 2006. He also chairs the Dallas Goethe Center, promoting German language and culture in the DFW area. His research focuses on 19th-century German literature, Romanticism, and intersections between music (e.g., Beethoven, Wagner) and film (e.g., Werner Herzog).
