معرفی
Dr Laura Eadie is an Externally Funded Research Fellow at the Adelaide Medical School, part of the University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She leads T-ALL research at SAHMRI and holds prestigious awards including the Cancer Council South Australia Beat Cancer Project Fellowship (2023–26) and the Young Tall Poppy Award (2023). Her research focuses on leveraging genomic sequencing and patient-derived mouse models to identify targeted therapies for relapsed T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (T-ALL).
Dr Eadie’s work aims to improve treatment outcomes for high-risk paediatric and adult T-ALL patients through precision medicine approaches. Her team collaborates with the SAHMRI ALL Genomics and Functional Genomics/Biology Lab, curating Australia’s largest genomic database of T-ALL cases. Key projects include characterizing genomic alterations in T-ALL subtypes and testing re-purposed drugs using patient-derived xenograft models.
- Grants: Over $4.4M in funding from NHMRC, MRFF, and the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation.
- Supervision: Eligible to supervise MPhil/PhD students on T-ALL genomic and pre-clinical drug studies.
- Labs: SAHMRI’s ALL Genomics Lab (led by Prof. Deborah White) and the Precision Cancer Medicine Theme.
Her research bridges clinical need and scientific innovation, with goals to provide clinicians with tailored treatment options for relapsed T-ALL patients.
