Laura Donnelly

Laura Donnelly is a Professor and Chair of English and Creative Writing at SUNY Oswego, where she directs the creative writing program and teaches poetry courses. Her research focuses on contemporary poetry, nature writing, and environmental literature.

• Education: MFA from Purdue University, PhD in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University

Research Trends: Donnelly’s work interweaves personal and ancestral narratives with ecological themes, using musicality in language and ekphrastic techniques to explore identity, trauma, and healing through poetry.
