Laura Cuch

Dr. Laura Cuch is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London. She holds a PhD in Cultural Geography from UCL (2022), an MA in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths (2006), and a Photography Diploma from Barcelona's Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics (2004). Her work bridges cultural geography and visual art, focusing on migration, urban communities, and food cultures through participatory methods.

Research Interests: Visual sociology, material performativity, and the intersection of food, faith, and community in multicultural spaces. Notable projects include the ESRC-funded 'Food and Faith' fellowship exploring West London's faith communities, and the artistic 'Spiritual Flavours' project combining a cookbook, film, and spice lab.

Awards: ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2023), Rieger Project Award (2020), Gourmand World Cookbook Awards shortlist (2020). Exhibitions include Tate Modern, Watermans Art Centre, and international photo festivals.
