Isidro Ramirez

Isidro Ramirez is a Lecturer in Design Communication at LASALLE College of the Arts. A Spanish photographer based in Singapore, he has spent 20 years developing his practice in urban photography after studying in the UK. His work explores cityscapes and cultural geographies through exhibitions and publications.

Ramirez’s research focuses on urban environments, using photography to document and reinterpret contemporary city dynamics. His projects like Jakarta’s 'Modest Interventions' and 'Blue Mountain' examine physical and social spaces through visual storytelling. Themes include spatial improvisation, architectural details, and the interplay between natural and urban landscapes.

His publications and exhibitions, spanning from 2010 to 2020, cover documentary photography, urban studies, and visual arts. Recent works highlight environmental contexts and cultural narratives embedded in cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
