Laura Cruser

Laura Cruser is an Instructor in the Department of English at Arizona State University (ASU). She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from ASU (2005) and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro (1998), with additional study abroad at Deakin University in Australia. Her expertise spans Creative Writing (Fiction/Poetry) and Rhetoric and Composition.

Cruser’s work integrates a deep connection to the natural world, reflected in her writing and teaching. She teaches composition, fiction, and business writing at ASU, and has extensive experience teaching K-12 students via grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and ASU’s Young Writers Program. Formerly the poetry editor for Hayden's Ferry Review, she also maintains roles as a farmer and artist.
