Courtney Isbell Fowler is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at Arizona State University (ASU), where she teaches First-Year Composition, Multilingual Composition, Reflective Writing, and other courses. She previously taught creative writing at the National University of Singapore and served as an assistant editor of Pearl Magazine. Her research interests include creative writing pedagogies, project-based learning, contemporary American literature, and pop culture studies. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Fiction) from ASU (2013) and a B.A. in English from California State University Long Beach (2008).
Her expertise spans 20th century literature, digital humanities, and film and media studies. She has contributed writings to publications such as The Phoenix New Times and The Pinch Journal.
