Dr. Laura Considine is an Associate Professor of International Politics at the School of Politics and International Studies within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leeds. She serves as Director of the Centre for Global Security Challenges. Her expertise spans global nuclear politics, nuclear disarmament, and the role of language and narrative in international politics. She holds an M.Litt in International Security (University of St Andrews, 2010) and a PhD in International Politics (Aberystwyth University, 2014).
Research Interests: Dr. Considine’s work examines the intersection of language, meaning, and nuclear policy. Key areas include feminist approaches to nuclear governance, trust dynamics in arms control, and the societal impacts of nuclear weapons.
