Laura Clayton

Dr. Laura Clayton is a Professor of Nursing Education at Shepherd University, where she has served since 1993. She holds a Ph.D. from West Virginia University (2007), a certificate in healthcare administration (WVU, 1998), a Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner (WVU, 1993), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Alderson-Broaddus College, 1983). Her professional contributions include co-founding Emmanuel’s Table Free Clinic in Martinsburg (2006), serving on the Eastern Panhandle Medical Reserve Corp Steering Committee, and leading roles in organizations such as the Shenandoah Valley Medical System as board president. She is a peer reviewer for Nursing Education Perspectives and earned certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (NLN, 2010).
