Laura Castillo-Martinez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Duke University, where she also serves as an Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and Associate Editor of the Journal of International Economics. She previously held roles as an Assistant Research Professor at Duke (2020-2021) and an IES Fellow at Princeton University (2019-2020).

Awards: Notable recognitions include an NSF Award (2021-2024), a Bank of Spain Fellowship (2018-2019), and the La Caixa Scholarship (2012-2013). She has also held teaching roles at Duke and the London School of Economics, covering international finance and macroeconomic principles.
