Laura Bryan serves as Interim Dean of the Lewis Honors College and T.G. Lewis Faculty Scholar in Organizational Behavior at the University of Kentucky, bringing thirty years of higher education experience with over 20 years in academic leadership roles including prior service as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the University at Transylvania University.
Her educational foundation includes a B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Bryan's research program spans three critical domains: work-life-family culture in academic leadership focusing on institutional effectiveness; positive organizational environments for individual and organizational flourishing; and historical evolution of industrial-organizational psychology with pioneering work identifying early women psychologists. Her scholarship bridges theoretical rigor with practical applications in higher education administration.
Her distinguished recognition includes:
