Laura Anderson McIntyre is a Professor in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, where she has served since 2013. Her work focuses on forest recreation planning, visitor behavior, and nature-based tourism.
- Ph.D. in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation from University of Massachusetts, Amherst
- M.S. in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University
- B.A. in Biology from Wittenberg University
Her research examines outdoor recreation management, motivations of forest visitors, and the intersection of human activities with natural resource conservation. She teaches courses in forest recreation planning, nature-based tourism, and human dimensions of natural resource management.
McIntyre served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Vermont's Park Studies Laboratory and held teaching roles at the University of Massachusetts and The Ohio State University. She advises the Park and Recreation Association student organization and participates in institutional committees related to curriculum, equity, and diversity.
