Lars B. Dahlin is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with EpiHealth: Epidemiology for Health and the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM) at Lund University. His research focuses on diabetic neuropathy (DPN) and its complications, particularly nerve compression disorders, transection, and laceration injuries requiring surgical intervention. Utilizing synchrotron radiation techniques and other advanced methods, he investigates cellular and mechanistic insights into nerve degeneration and regeneration processes to improve diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for diabetes-related nerve damage.
