Larry J. Weber is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa's College of Engineering. He serves as Director of IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering, the Center for Hydrologic Development, and the Iowa Flood Center. His research focuses on hydraulic structures, river restoration, and modeling fish passage facilities, combining hydrodynamic data with biological data to enhance understanding of fish responses near passage systems.
