معرفی
Elliot Anderson serves as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research (IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering) and the Iowa Geological Survey, both units within the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa. His work bridges fundamental hydroscience research with practical geological applications for the state of Iowa.
Education:
- PhD, University of Iowa, 2022
- MS, University of Illinois at Chicago, 2019
- BS, Purdue University, 2014
Research Focus: Dr. Anderson's expertise centers on hydraulic engineering and fluid dynamics, with significant contributions to environmental and geological engineering. His IIHR research involves advanced computational modeling of fluid systems and experimental hydrodynamics, while his Iowa Geological Survey work focuses on hydrogeological mapping and sustainable water resource management. This dual-role approach addresses critical challenges in flood mitigation, sediment transport, and infrastructure resilience through interdisciplinary methodologies.
Research Units: He operates within the Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research—a globally recognized fluid dynamics center—and collaborates with the Iowa Geological Survey to translate academic research into state-level environmental solutions.
