Larry Orlando Warner is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Health Services, Policy and Practice at Brown University. He currently serves as Chief Impact and Equity Officer at United Way of Rhode Island, overseeing grantmaking, research, data analytics, and initiatives to advance racial equity. Previously, he held roles at the Rhode Island Foundation and serves on numerous nonprofit boards including the Governor’s Council on Behavioral Health and the Rhode Island Public Health Association.
Education: DrPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2022), MPH and AB from Brown University (2013, 1997).
Research focuses on implementing strategies to reduce health disparities and promote health equity through data-driven approaches. He teaches courses on race, racism, and health, as well as health technology and data analysis.
Awards include the Bertram Yaffe Award (2023) and Brown University’s Alumni Impact Award (2025).
Leadership roles include the Care Transformation Collaborative of RI, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, and Leadership Rhode Island’s 2025 Phi II Class.
