Larissa Schäfer

Larissa Schäfer is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Finance Department of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and will join the European Central Bank (ECB) in March 2025 as a Senior Economist in the Directorate General Research - Financial Research (DGR-FIR) on a part-time basis.

Education:

• PhD in Finance, Tilburg University

Research Focus: Her work spans financial intermediation, political economy, international finance, and behavioral finance, examining themes like cross-border banking, Brexit's financial implications, and political influences on capital allocation.

Publications: Her research appears in top journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, and Management Science, focusing on credit market dynamics, syndicated lending, and behavioral finance.
