Lance Gable is a Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Minor in Law Program at Wayne State University Law School. He specializes in public health law, bioethics, and health policy, with a focus on emergencies, human rights, and global health governance.
Education: J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and B.A. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Research Interests: Overlap of law, ethics, and public health; legal responses to pandemics; healthcare equity; and mental health rights. His work includes assessing legal frameworks for crises like COVID-19, wastewater surveillance ethics, and volunteer healthcare worker protections during disasters.
