Dr. Lan Song serves as an Assistant Professor of Education and core research methodologist in the Ed.D. program at West Texas A&M University's Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences, specializing in doctoral-level research methodology instruction.

- M.Ed. in Higher Education (Enrollment Management focus) from Abilene Christian University

Dr. Song's research centers on affective domain learning, teaching effectiveness, and rural educational institution development. She implements mixed-method formative assessment frameworks in collaboration with the Asia Development Bank for rural development initiatives in China, with her doctoral dissertation examining legitimization of affective learning through mixed-methods analysis.
