Gene Sheets serves as Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Superintendent Certification Program in Curriculum and Instruction within the Department of Graduate Education at Lubbock Christian University. His career bridges academic scholarship with extensive K-12 administrative experience, including 15 years as Superintendent of Muleshoe ISD.

Dr. Sheets' expertise centers on educational leadership and rural school systems, informed by his practical experience as a math teacher, high school principal, and superintendent across multiple Texas districts.
