Lama K. Farran

Lama K. Farran, PhD, CCC-SLP, is Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of West Georgia. Her research investigates early speech and language development as foundations for reading in diverse populations, including children with disorders. She employs a multifactorial framework for early detection of language and reading difficulties.

Farran serves on the Research Subcommittee of the Center for Early Language and Literacy Governing Board and the Board of Directors of the International Dyslexia Association Georgia. She teaches courses including Phonetics, Neuroanatomy, and Language Disorders and Literacy.
