Angela Ayre

Angela Ayre, MS, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist and literacy specialist at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. As a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, she provides clinical education and supervision for graduate students in the Speech Language and Literacy Center (SLLC) and has served as a teaching assistant for courses on literacy instruction for English language learners.

Her clinical expertise spans 20+ years across hospital clinics, private practices, and community literacy programs. She specializes in spoken/written language connections, bilingualism, and neurodevelopmental disorders like dyslexia, with a focus on executive function strategies for school/work success.

Her publications focus on bilingual literacy acquisition and diagnostic frameworks for language/reading disorders in multilingual contexts. Key themes include cross-linguistic differences, educational interventions, and cognitive neuroscience of language.
