Laimir Fano is an Assistant Professor of Film Studies at Boston College, affiliated with the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an M.F.A. in Cinematic Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Diploma in Film Directing from Cuba’s International School of Film and Television. His work explores national identity, cultural memory, and migration through narrative and documentary filmmaking.
