Laila Seewang is a Visiting Professor of Architecture at EPFL, holding positions in both the ENAC-SAR (Architecture and Urbanism) and ALICE (Architecture and Interaction) departments. Her roles include teaching design studios and researching infrastructural networks' cultural impacts. She also serves as Assistant Professor at Portland State University.

Research Interests: Her work examines how cultural values translate into material supply chains through design, with a focus on timber material cycles in contemporary architecture. She explores historical and infrastructural networks, including German architectural historiography, public infrastructure design, and sustainable material practices.
