LUIS MIGUEL VARELA CABO

Luis Miguel Varela Cabo is a Professor in the Department of Particle Physics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Faculty of Physics and the Materials Institute (iMATUS). He is part of the Strategic Grouping in Materials (AEMAT) and the NaFoMat research group (Nanomaterials, Photonics and Soft Matter Group). His research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly theoretical studies of complex charged fluids and materials science. He obtained his PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2000 with a thesis titled Theoretical study of the equilibrium and transport of complex charged fluids in the mean field approximation, supervised by Dr. Manuel García Sánchez and Dr. Víctor Mosquera Tallón.
