Kåre Inge Birkeland

Kåre Inge Birkeland is a Professor at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. He specializes in diabetes, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome, with clinical work at the Endocrinology Division of Oslo University Hospital and laboratory work at Hormone Laboratory. His leadership roles include Director of Research at a university hospital and Head of the Endocrinology Division.
