Kyong Eun Oh

Kyong Eun Oh is a Professor and Director of the PhD Program at Simmons University's School of Library and Information Science (SLIS), where she has served since Fall 2013. Her leadership spans academic administration, research innovation, and professional service in library and information science.

Professor Oh's research examines how individuals interact with information in daily contexts, focusing on behavioral patterns in digital environments. She investigates societal and technological influences on information practices through projects like cloud-based collaborative file management (funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation) and mobile information behavior. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in metadata, information visualization, and organizational systems.
