Dr. Kym Guelfi is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Human Sciences, University of Western Australia. She holds a PhD (2006) and a Doctor of Medicine (2023) from UWA. Her research focuses on the role of exercise in disease prevention (e.g., obesity, diabetes) and its impact on appetite regulation. She also investigates exercise during pregnancy to prevent gestational diabetes. Dr. Guelfi teaches undergraduate courses such as SSEH1101, covering musculoskeletal systems and movement.
