Kylie Shaw

Professor Kylie Shaw is Dean of Graduate Research at the University of Newcastle (Research and Innovation Division). She holds a PhD from the University of Newcastle, completed part-time while teaching. Her research focuses on doctoral education, research training, and equity in higher education. She previously served in leadership roles including Deputy Head of School (Research & Research Training) in the School of Education and as NSW representative for CADRE.

Education Background: PhD in Education (part-time), followed by roles spanning teaching, academic coordination, and international student support at institutions like Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College and The University of Sydney's International House.

Research Interests: Doctoral learning pathways, research preparedness, innovative teaching strategies, and equity in research education.
