Dr. Kylie Lipscombe is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Wollongong, specializing in educational leadership. She serves as the Academic Program Director for the Master of Education (Educational Leadership) and leads the design of leadership development programs. Her roles include National Deputy President of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) and academic lead for the NSW Department of Education's Aspiring Principals Leadership Program. Dr. Lipscombe holds a PhD from the University of Wollongong and has over 24 years of experience across teaching, school leadership, and university education.
Her research focuses on middle leadership, school leadership development, and teacher collaboration, with publications in journals like Journal of Research on Leadership Education and International Journal of Educational Management. She has co-authored books on middle leadership challenges and presented at international conferences. Current projects involve developing middle leadership programs for NSW public schools, impacting over 500 leaders annually.
Dr. Lipscombe supervises five doctoral students and teaches courses in leadership development and educational foundations. She is a frequent keynote speaker, addressing topics such as collaborative leadership and curriculum reform. Her work emphasizes partnership-driven research, blending academic rigor with practical educational solutions.
