Kyle T. Miller is a Professor in the History Department at Missouri State University. He has been affiliated with the institution since 2012, teaching courses such as World History, United States History, and specialized topics on Modern Europe, Nazi Germany, and the Holocaust. Previously, he taught at Westminster College (2009–2012), where he engaged with Churchill’s 'Iron Curtain' speech legacy. Miller holds a PhD in History from the University of Missouri (2009), an MA (2002), and a BA (2000) in History from Oklahoma State University.
His research focuses on the interplay between public engagement and environmental modernization in post-war Bavaria, particularly regarding nuclear landscapes and climate change. He has conducted extensive archival work in Munich, Germany, and is currently composing an article on the antinuclear movement’s connection to anthropogenic climate change. His work challenges assumptions about technocratic policy-making by highlighting public influence.
Miller’s professional accolades include the CGCEH Research Grant (2009) and DAAD International Research Grant (2006–2007). His teaching spans introductory courses to advanced seminars, emphasizing European and German history, including Holocaust studies.
