Kyle Strobel is an Associate Professor of Spiritual Theology at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, where he also directs the Institute for Spiritual Formation and the Marriage and Family Therapy program. His academic roles include teaching in Biola’s Spiritual Theology and Formation programs, and he serves as a preacher at Redeemer Church, La Mirada. Strobel holds a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen, alongside M.A. degrees in New Testament and Philosophy from Talbot School of Theology, and a B.A. from Judson University.
His research focuses on systematic theology, Jonathan Edwards, and spiritual formation, with particular interests in theological anthropology, prayer, and Reformed dogmatics. He has authored or co-authored over a dozen books, including *Where Prayer Becomes Real* (2021) and *Jonathan Edwards: An Introduction to His Thought* (2018). His work bridges scholarly and popular audiences, exploring themes like contemplation, virtue ethics, and the integration of faith and intellect.
In addition to his academic contributions, Strobel maintains an active public engagement through his Substack blog, *Formation*, which discusses spiritual formation, church practices, and theological reflection. He is affiliated with professional societies like the Evangelical Theological Society and American Academy of Religion, and frequently presents at academic conferences on Edwardsian theology and Reformed thought.
