Kyle Pedersen is a Lecturer in Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and serves as Director of Organizational Health and Director of the CMHC Foundation at the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC). With over 25 years in community mental health and nonprofit leadership, he specializes in organizational development, strategic planning, and anti-racism initiatives. His roles include co-chairing the Project Synapse workplace improvement initiative and leading the Department of Psychiatry’s Antiracism Task Force Staff Subcommittee.

Research & Interests: Focuses on organizational health, community mental health system innovation, and equity-driven leadership. Key initiatives include developing the Leadership+Innovation Lab for clinical managers and co-founding Elm City-Undoing Racism Organizing Collective.
Awards: 2023 Linda K. Lorimer Award recognizing exceptional contributions to Yale and the community.
Advising & Leadership: Supervises Yale undergraduate interns through Public Service Fellowships and collaborates with Dwight Hall. Teaches social justice courses at Yale Divinity School and supports spiritual leadership in the Episcopal Church.
Community Engagement: Chair of New Haven Solid Waste & Recycling Authority, board member of Citywide Youth Coalition, and active in Trinity Church on the Green’s outreach programs.
