Kyle Claassen is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. (2018) and M.A. (2014) from the University of Kansas and a B.A. (2010) from Bethel College. His research focuses on nonlinear waves, including the Fractional Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation and Bidirectional Whitham water wave models. He integrates innovative teaching tools like the Wiimote Planimeter and the MathPlot mod for Minetest, enhancing student engagement in applied mathematics and calculus.
