معرفی
Kurt Tutzer serves as a Researcher at the Chair of Metal Construction, Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he has worked as a research assistant since 2021. His academic focus spans advanced structural engineering with specialization in steel construction systems, fire protection, and sustainable building technologies.
His educational background includes a B.Sc. (2010-2014) and M.Sc. (2014-2017) in Civil Engineering from TUM, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at Politecnico di Milano (2013-2014). Prior to his academic career, he gained industry experience as a project engineer and structural engineer at Sailer Stepan und Partner GmbH in Munich (2017-2020).
Research interests prominently feature steel-concrete composite systems, fire behavior of structural elements, and historic structure rehabilitation. Current investigations examine shear connector performance under fire conditions and sustainability metrics for hybrid construction materials. His teaching portfolio includes graduate-level courses in Composite Building and Bridge Construction, Welding Technology, and Steel Composite Bridge Construction.
Professional contributions include supervision of student theses across structural engineering disciplines and active participation in TUM's research initiatives on explosion protection, glass construction, and additive manufacturing applications in civil engineering. His work maintains strong connections to practical industry applications through collaborations with structural engineering firms.
