Teija Kujala is a Professor of Psychology at the Department of Psychology and Logopedics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki (since 2014). Her career includes prior professorial roles at the University of Helsinki (2011-2014, 2007-2011) and acting professorships at the University of Turku (2005-2006).

Research Interests focus on the intersection of cognitive neuroscience with clinical and educational applications, particularly in language development, brain plasticity, autism spectrum disorders, and dyslexia. Her work bridges fundamental neuroscience with translational research for learning challenges.
Scientific Contributions include leadership as Chair of the Cognitive Brain Laboratory (HiLIFE infrastructure) and Shared Director of the Cognitive Brain Research Unit. She has secured major grants exceeding €3.5M since 2010.
