Kudakwashe Chani is a PhD candidate at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) within the Australian National University (ANU). His research focuses on the impact of decentralizing rapid molecular tests for TB and MDR-TB care in Zimbabwe.

His work has addressed MDR-TB contact screening in Papua New Guinea, TB mortality diagnostics, treatment delays in Australia, and staff turnover in Namibia. Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to infectious disease control and health systems strengthening.
