Dr. Samantha Colquhoun is an Associate Professor at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH), Australian National University, with over 25 years of expertise in operational and clinical health research across low- and middle-income countries. Her roles include researcher in the Department of Applied Epidemiology and membership in the Infectious Diseases and Modelling group. She holds an MPH in International Health and a PhD.
Her research focuses on:
- Maternal and child health services for vulnerable populations
- Epidemiology of rheumatic heart disease and tuberculosis
- Health system strengthening and field epidemiology workforce development
- Food safety, malnutrition, and infectious disease surveillance in Timor-Leste and the Asia-Pacific
Her publications emphasize global health epidemiology, public health emergency response, and disease burden analysis, with recurrent themes in COVID-19, maternal-child health, and workforce training.
